FAQ

Our new website has all of our suggested restaurants near the condo, where you might consider reservations, sunset views available, and more.

As for activity recommendations:

We have had good luck finding tours via Viator
Also very nice is just to go to Kailua-Kona and walk along Aliʻi there are shops and the ocean and lots of restaurants like some of the ones above

There is a KTA that is walking distance, its about 20 minutes walk, it does seem farther during the heat of the day.

I linked the Trolly page above
This is a part of the Bus Route on the island but runs from Longs Drugs/KTA shopping all the way downtown, and up to the Target Store
It is Cash Only $2 per person
Open air bus, masks required
It does not run frequently but if you plan right it is quite a handy way to go
The pdf that the site links to above has a picture which shows you it is not your average bus, but an open air trolly type experience.
The stops are less than 1/2 block away from the Condo

Even if you walk to the KTA/Longs, you might want to ride back with your bags.
Also Lyft and Uber operate as well, but its Hawaiian time so often long waits.

We are not anglers ourselves so we asked our handyman who lives there year round for our dear friends 30th anniversary trip

He suggested:
Knight Runner sport fishing. Captain Shawn.
808-783-3646
And our most favorite is
Hooked Up Sportfishing Captain Chuck.
808-960-5877

Our friends went with Captain Chuck and had the best time.

I would suggest calling in advance
The boat crew will be able to help guide you with where to go to get the fish prepared ... as well
